What’s Up Tyler - 8/7/2025
Hey y’all we’ve got some exciting events coming up this weekend! From cosplaying as batman around downtown to winding down to some country classics, this week’s jam packed with awesome things going on around Tyler!
Your Weekend Blueprint
8/7 THURS: Sip & Paint Workshop at Kiepersol 6:00pm - I found quite the unique experience going on today! If you’ve ever wanted to do a wine tasting but thought to yourself “this could really use some spice” now you can also paint to your hearts desire in this rare event hosted by Kiepersol. 8/8 FRI: Tyler Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Tyler 8:00am - Have you ever wanted to be batman? The answer is yes, don’t lie to me. Now you can be the worlds greatest detective (crime fighting not included) in this scavenger hunt hosted by Let’s Roam. Change into your costume here
8/9 SAT: Gene Watson at Liberty Hall 7:00pm - Here I was thinking that Liberty Hall was still under construction, then I read about how a cool country singer Gene Watson is going to be doing a performance there, what a turn of events. Take a listen here
8/10 SUN: Sean Fuller at Texas Music City Tyler - With over 30 years on the saxaphone, you’d think he’d pick up a different instrument but he insists the saxaphone is the one true instrument (I made that up he didn’t say that, but I’d like to think he did). Come out to the Texas Music City Tyler location for some good food and an even greater time. Learn more here

Tyler Tastes
ETX Brewing Co. is hosting a weekly brunch at 11am every saturday, and I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if I didnt salivate looking some of their food. I don’t personally drink, but that won’t stop me from getting a burger and fries.

Nerd Out
Dungeons & Dragons at the Tyler Library - Have you (like me) seen all the hubub about how fun it is to play D&D, maybe you’ve tried a homebrew version with some friends, or maybe you’ve never tried a tabletop rpg before. Now is your chance to get in on the action! The Tyler Library is hosting an adult version of their D&D club, I am very excited about this one! Learn more here
Tyler History
Tyler History 1958 - Shown is the annual Christmas Parade passing through downtown on December 7, 1958. For many years Santa had a small house on the square, where children could share their wish list with him.

Impacting Tyler
PATH (People Attempting Too Help) - PATH is a non-profit that I’ve been volunteering with for the past month in their food bank. They are a lovely caring group of people that help the community in so many ways, from the aformentioned food bank, to recently giving out fans for these insanely hot summers, all the way to providing housing assistance and a program to help people on the path to homeownership.
I’ve loved my time volunteering with them and encourage y’all to do the same! If helping out your community is something you find dear to you, making an actual impact in your community and helping others for the sake of helping others, PATH has a place for you to give back.
On The Horizon
Lake Palestine Resort Fireworks Show 8/31/25 - It’s the end of august, celebrate the end of corporate summer (because summer doesnt technically end until september, but don’t let walmart know) by setting the sky on fire with explosions, otherwise known as ‘fireworks’. Learn more here
